5 Tips to Make the Most Out Of Life
Posted on 21 April 2017
Ask Yourself What Is Really Important and Then Have Wisdom and Courage To Build Your Life Around Your Answers.
1. More Doing and Less Thinking
Educate yourself and consider all your options but don't get stuck in that eternal state of limbo. Gather the information you need to make your decision, proceed and get to work.
2. You are not Inferior To Anyone
Eleanor Roosevelt said that "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent". No one's brain is more powerful than yours. No one's blessed with a skill set that you can't develop. No successful person gets to where they are by just mere luck. When you think that you're not good enough, think of these: Michael Jordan was cut from his school's basketball team because they believed he was not good enough. JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, received numerous rejections for a full year before a publisher accepted her book. The Beatles were rejected from a studio label because they were "never going to make it" in the show business. So the difference between the winners and losers is that winners don't give up. They keep moving forward no matter how hard the path becomes. Remember, you don't lose until you quit.
3. Some Rules Are Meant To Be Broken
Don't follow a list of rules without understanding their rationale and validity. If you're obeying blindly, you're probably missing all the fun. Breaking some rules can help you achieve greater things in life. Progress and innovation come from courageous people who learned to question everything.
4. Regret Nothing and Do Everything
Have you ever heard that saying "I'd rather regret what I've done, than what I haven't done"? Don't be afraid to follow your heart, or quitting a job to start your dream business. Sometimes, most of what you'd like to do requires a lot of hard work, dedication and perseverance. Have the courage to live the life of your dreams, with no regrets.
5. Stay True to Your Real Authentic Self
Wearing a different mask to fit everywhere, especially where you know you don't belong, must be so exhausting. Your life does not need to be a theatrical performance. Think about your self and wellbeing. Remember, you are amazing, just the way you are. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Share your unique ideas, thoughts and personality with the world without fear or shame.
