1 – Have Breakfast
It helps to boost your metabolism and stop you from overeating later. Studies show that children who eat a morning meal score higher on tests and adults do better at work. If you don’t feel like having a big meal, you can start with a piece of fruit or a small yogurt.
2 – Plan Your Daily Meals
Plan the meals you’ll have along the day and the week. Are you planning on losing weight? Do you need to cut back on carbs? Do you need to add more vitamins or proteins? Control your eating habits by planning ahead.
3 – Drink Lots of Water
Staying hydrated is very important and can also help you lose weight. If you’re not a big fan of plain water, like me, add flavor with slices of lemon, lime, watermelon, orange, mint leaves, or berries. I promise you'll love it.
4 – Take an Exercise Break
Get up and move. Take some time off and do deep lunges or stretches. Just 30 minutes of walking five times a week can do wonders to your body and mind.
5 – Sleep Well
It’s so good for you. A good night’s sleep keeps people in a better mood, sharpens focus and memory, and lowers the risk of heart disease. Aim to get between 7 to 9 hours of sleep daily.
6 – Work Your Muscles
Trade fat for muscle mass. Strength training helps you burn more calories even when you’re not exercising. This means it helps you slim down faster, strengthens your heart and build stronger bones. Try to workout at least twice a week and include push-ups, weight lifting, and lunges.
